In the South African market, a significant portion of job seekers and employers access professional platforms primarily via mobile devices on variable network conditions. Netwokin's LinkedIn-style professional networking and job marketplace platform needed to deliver a smooth, fast mobile-web experience without the overhead of a native app investment.

ATS built a fully mobile-responsive Liferay Social Office platform with a custom mobile-optimised theme delivering fast load times on 3G networks, touch-friendly interface components, and progressive enhancement for feature phones. Custom portlets for job posting, candidate discovery, skills matching, and premium subscription management were all designed mobile-first. Custom hooks enabled seamless social networking features — connections, endorsements, and activity feeds — on mobile browsers.
