Liferay Forms

 

Liferay Forms is a robust form-building tool that allows users to create various types of forms, ranging from simple to complex, for purposes such as surveys, customer feedback, and custom data collection.

 

Features of Liferay Forms:

Drag and Drop Fields:  Users can easily design forms by dragging and dropping various field types onto the form layout.

Integration with Liferay Workflow: Forms can be integrated with Liferay's workflow system, allowing for streamlined processes.

Multi-page Forms: You can create multi-page forms and customize page titles and descriptions.

Redirect to Success Page: After submitting the form, users can be redirected to a designated success page.

Form Templates: Form templates can be created and reused for consistent design.

 

Steps to Build a Form:

1. Open the product menu on the site administration menu.
2. Click on "Content and Data" and then "Forms."
3. Click the "Add" button to start building a new form.
4. The form builder view will appear where you can give the form a name, description, and page details for multi-page forms

       

     5. Drag and drop the desired form fields onto the layout.

Field Properties:

For each form field, you can define:

1. Label: The field's label name.
2. Placeholder Text: Placeholder value to assist users.
3. Help Text: Additional comment to aid users in understanding the field.
4. Field Type: Choose between single-line or multiple-line input fields.
5. Required Field: Indicate whether the field is required.
